Some days I find myself wanting to slob out in a smart way for work, if such a thing is possible - so layering a massive patterned boyfriend shirt and my trusty blue palazzo pants seemed like the way to go this week. I think it's perfectly okay not to bow to the pressure of having to wear figure-flattering clothes every day; who says we can only do that on days off at home in our sweats? I guess my waist is still there, with a bit of décolletage too - that's good enough, isn't it?!
Adorning my aforementioned décolletage is the prettiest birdcage necklace that was a gift from my sister - it was made by local jewellery designer Hydra Jewellery who make necklaces, rings and bracelets using delicate nature-inspired images behind drops of glass. To see their designs, you can visit their Facebook page here...
... or if you're a resident of SW England, you're in luck! Hydra Jewellery is stocked at branches of Insideout at: 1 Bampfylde Lane, Princesshay, Exeter EX1 1GQ; 16 Duke Street, Dartmouth TQ6 9PZ and 85 West Street, Tavistock PL19 8AQ.
Do check them out if you're a local!
Just to let you all know I have another special week of posts coming up - it was Vintage Week last week, and next week will be Wedding Week on the blog (ideas for dressing as a guest, not a bride)! It kicks off on Sunday with a massive giveaway: £250 to spend at Damsel in a Dress which would be PERFECT for a wedding outfit. Don't miss it, my lovelies...!
Shop my look! Items marked* are the actual items, if still available:
Shirt: Vero Moda, Pants: Oasis, T-shirt: Unknown, Heels: Nine West* (can't believe these are still available somewhere, and so cheap!!), Sunnies: New Look, Belt: Steve Madden, Hair cuff: Accessorize*
