Now the shock that it's December already has (mostly) passed, it's time to work out what to wear to the Christmas party - and if you're not necessarily on an outfit budget this year, what better way to break out of a little black dress rut than to go for a little green dress?
I've put this outfit together for a style challenge entry - as you lovely readers helped me win the last one, I was hoping you'd vote for this outfit too: I need as many "Likes" as possible on the Aspire Style Facebook competition page where they've challenged a group of bloggers to create a Christmas party outfit based around a dress from their site. I chose this gorgeous Louche pleated green mini dress which is a perfect alternative to a little black dress - does that mean I'm wearing a LGD...?! Inspired by the black bow belt worn by Blair Eadie with her pink dress, I created a statement belt by pinning three black flower corsages to a black elasticated belt (it has a butterfly clasp but I purposely hid that) - I'm so pleased with how it turned out! Plus any fashionista worth their weight in Zara will throw their jacket on over their shoulders, don a pair of patterned tights and add a glittery clutch.
