June evenings...in South Texas, this is the time to get out and enjoy. Once we get into late July through September, the heat can zap even the night fun.
Now, some may call this a duster, some a long jacket, some a ruana...but, I call it FUN!! The piece caught my eye in MARSHALL'S recently and it is perfect for a summer's evening with even a touch of shimmer in in.
I really like a multi-purpose garment like this...it would work beautifully as a swim suit cover-up. But, styled this way, I can go down to the SAN ANTONIO RIVERWALK for dinner on a patio, to a backyard cook-out, or to sit on the lawn at our HEMISFAIR PLAZA and watch an outdoor movie projected on a building...I miss drive-in theaters! Don't you??

When I was out last weekend, I was surprised to see so many Texas ladies in the summer wearing black (that did not use to be the case).
Since my outfit is silver and black, I hope to wear it to the celebration river parade for our San Antonio Spurs FIFTH (let me write that again, FIFTH) NBA Championship. Go Spurs Go! It has been so much fun to watch a true, selfless team play basketball! Congratulations to everyone...particularly, Tim, Manu, Tony and Pop!
