So here is a little round up of behind the scenes of the Fever London photo shoot that took place on Saturday in central London - what an amazing day!
I must just say the biggest THANK YOU if you voted for me... I was so humbled by everyone's overwhelming and unending support - I wouldn't have been there without everyone's votes. (How amazing are you lot?!) I was the winner in my size category along with the other girls (above, L-R) Liz, Nikki, Celina and Debs, and the day consisted of a vintage makeover and the modelling of eight Fever London SS14 outfits to be shown on their website, blog and social media accounts from next month.
I've used a mixture of Instagram pics and snapshots taken on the day - I think you can see the fun we had. So this post is a bit photo-heavy, but I hope you enjoy them!
Me: I would say before and after, but it's actually "half way" and after. I was so pleased with my hair - I was desperate to be Kate Beckinsale in Pearl Harbor and I was - I got victory rolls which I was sooo pleased with!
The girls and their makeovers, clockwise from top left: Celina, Liz (of What Lizzy Loves), Nikki, and Debs (of Bang on Style). All very different looks but all totally gorgeous.
The essential cup of tea come mid-morning. I'm not usually in a strapless silk chiffon dress (the Delphinium in Duck Egg Blue) for elevenses, however.
Here's six of the best! L-R: the Atrani lace prom dress, the Barbican stripe skirt with the Berkshire ruffle sleeve top in Cream and the Mariel cropped cardigan in Lemonade, the Bloomsbury red dress, the Charlie Peter Pan top and the Phoenix skinny jeans, the Provence tea dress in Lemonade, and the Ischia lace print prom dress.
My favourite picture of the day! Normally I'm the tall one in photos, but Liz towered over me and made me look Kylie-tiny. She's only a couple of inches taller than me but I was wearing flats and she was wearing heels, so it made a huge difference... and me laugh. BTW how gorgeous does Liz look in this dress?!
Debs in the Bloomsbury red dress and me in everyone's favourite outfit to model: the cropped cardigan, blouse and stripey pencil skirt. Very modern-retro and very Mad Men.
The photographer Kristina put her life on the line lying in the middle of the road dodging taxis and vans in central London.
Doing our best girl band impression in the Provence lemonade tea dress.
So this was the official final photo in the lace print Ischia dress (which I chose as my take-home dress - can't wait for the warmer weather to wear it)...
... and this was the unofficial one. The five winners and the Fever London team.
I'd just like to say a massive "thank you" to Fever London and everyone on the team that made our day so special - it was definitely one I won't forget and all the girls were so, so lovely (I loved getting to meet everyone and how fabulous to have made a lot of new friends). We now have to wait to see the professional photos at the beginning of April - I can't wait!!
